‘         RRE has succeeded in highly competitive grant-seeking environments. An RRE proposal to support a fatherhood initiative was one of only 21 funded from among more than 300 applicants nationwide (funder: U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, ACYF); a proposal for a comprehensive HIV prevention education needs assessment was 1 of only 10 funded in the U.S., and 1 of only 5 funded that year (funder: U.S. Conference of Mayors); and another of our proposals was 1 of only 12 special improvement grants funded nationally by the U.S. Office of Child Support and Enforcement.

‘         Feedback from HRSA (U.S. Health Resources and Services Administration) on a proposal funded in 2002 listed 22 strengths and only 1 minor weakness. Feedback from HRSA on a 2003 proposal cited 50 strengths and only 3 weaknesses, none of the latter related to the proposal itself.

‘         We’ve brought in approximately $10 million in federal grants; 82% of the federal proposals we’ve prepared have been approved, and 71% have been funded.
