Ann M. Adams, R.N., M.S.N., has more than 25 years’ experience in health, human services and education. An accomplished program planner, manager, facilitator and teacher, Ann has a diverse background that includes developing and managing a child-abuse prevention program; running the clinical services division of a city health department; providing consultation in staff and organizational development; working with pregnant teens and incarcerated women; teaching parenting skills to high-risk parents; and teaching maternal and child and family nursing at Kutztown University. Ann has a Master of Science degree in nursing, with concentrations in community health and education. Ann is also a certified hypnotherapist with a private counseling practice, Red Road Counseling. Elizabeth A. Brensinger, M.P.H., has been an award-winning journalist; the manager of an HIV/AIDS program at a city health department; a grant reviewer for, among others, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control & Prevention; and a consultant to numerous health, human services, environmental and educational organizations. An adjunct faculty member at East Stroudsburg University, Liz has a Master of Public Health degree in community health education and a B.A. in journalism. She has chaired the boards of two organizations — a non-profit agency serving abused women and children, and an environmental advocacy group. Liz is also a vision quest guide and the author of Earth Dreams: Finding Light in the Shadow, published in 2002 by Red Road Press.
